Mine Shaft Add-on Set
– Tue, Aug 28, 2018 at 08:23:12 PM
We just named our new stretch goal for $25K. The Mine Shaft Add-on Set.
We know it's a big stretch for the amount of time left on this campaign but we think we can do it. We've had a lot of interest in these last hours and hope we can get to this new stretch goal.
It's our first underground set for those who have been asking for underground adventure terrain. It's a big project and should prove to be totally awesome. We'll be providing a variety of new ground textures and wall textures. There will be multiple wall designs in multiple sizes and shapes; rock walls, bean support walls, wood retaining walls, collapsed walls and more. We'll be adding mine shaft tracks so they can be applied to the new floor tiles and a new low-slung modular trestle bridge system so you can make it as long or short as you want. Some new water tiles and lava pit tiles and a bunch of scatter terrain to detail out the mine shaft as you like.
We had not planned on doing this set yet but due to so many requests for underground terrain we had to go for it. We don't have pictures yet but we'll provide some concept images as soon as possible.
Again, thank you for your support!
The Coliseum is about to be Unlocked!

We are quickly approaching the unlocking of the Coliseum. This has been an anticipated unlock and we appreciate everyone's help getting there.
This update will provide some additional insight to the Coliseum Add-on Set. remember, this set will come as a hex set and a square set. The pictures below show the hex draft design. Hex is a bit harder to model so we started there.
-
The Set is completely modular which allows you to build the set in any size you desire. You can build a small arena or a large one, its all up to how big or small you want to make it. The pictures below show a set that has been built on three 16Base tiles wide by four 16Base tiles long.
- The set will come with a variety of detail parts such as the shade covers as seen above, railings, arches, different gate options and more. You can build it with only two sides or front and back to allow easy access to the battle field. Don't want to us the arches, or shade covers, they're not required to construct the set.
- The pictures here show only our draft design. We plan to add additional architectural details to really make this set stand out. The pillar bases have an open archway to allow you to place statues of previous champions or even place your actual miniatures in them for display. You can build the set with stadium seating for onlooking miniatures awaiting their own battles.
We believe this will be a great addition to our tile system and should provide some very exciting close combat battles for your gaming.

Great Kickstarter campaign thus far. Thanks to all our great backers, we really appreciate the excitement around the tiles and appreciate the coments and feedack we've received.
1. As mentioned in our last update, we've been trying to refine a cool printing technique which can be used to create fine grasses, etc. Here's a top view of some tall swamp grass in Kara's last build.
2. We wanted to thank Sir Heroscape for posting a video using our tiles. Check out the game play on HyGround tiles at his YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmPc-CsArUw
3. We've been working on creating a better organic look to the square tiles. Here's Kara's newest work of rock formations. These are 4 single crown square multi-layer rock formation tiles with 4 1" spaces each. We're also working on softening up the edges of our square tiles so they flow more natural. Not there yet but we're getting there.
Image showing the tiles just finished on the Ender-3 printer.
