HyGround "Tree Fort Set Released" project update
about 6 years ago – Sat, Oct 20, 2018 at 11:00:21 PM

Thats right! The Tree Fort add-on set for hex is now released and ready for download from your BackerKit account for those of you who added this set to your pledge.

There's a lot in this set, more than 50 stl files and we're hoping you enjoy this very unique set. There are some very cool features that come with this set and some things you'll need to know when assembling it. We'll create a short video with some additional insights to this set.

  • There are 3 different huge trees in this set all of which have platforms some as large as 7 hexes. They are printed in sections so they will fit your printers print bed.
  • The trees have a single hex base in them so they clip down to the HyGround tiles system which also aligns the hexes in the trees with the hexes on the board.
  • Several of the platforms have numbers on an edge which indicates its tile height.
  • There's 7 different railing styles that can be applied to the platforms. The will need to be glued to the platforms. There are pins to align them correctly.
  • The suspension bridge can be created in any length. It's modular, attached by a hinge. NOTE: All hinges used in this set use a 1.75mm filament pin. That's right, simply snip off a portion of filament to create the hinge.
  • The fir trees have receivers which will accept leafy branches, dead branches, animal skin canopies, suspended hexes, and a hand-crank crane so they can be used as needed.
  • The tree platforms use the same connector design as the Cliff-Side walkways so they are interchangeable.
  • There is a working iron gate that allows entry onto the platform from beneath. Includes a ladder which will hold miniatures with bases 32mm - 25mm.
  • AND A LOT MORE.....

This was our concept....

which turned into this.....

Enjoy. And as usual, if you have any questions, please let us know.

Thank you,

Bill and Kara Reaser
